worthwhile for those who plan to live and work in an English-speaking country, especially in the UK. At the same time, residents of the multinational United States, as a rule, are more tolerant of the accent of their interlocutor. It is also worth remembering that there are a huge number of dialects, and English speakers from, say, Dublin and Texas may not immediately understand each other.

The variety of sounds in English surprises many, and the theoretical materials seem endless. The advice is simple - spend more time communicating with native speakers. Dialogues with the British will help you remember the pronunciation features of frequently used words. Pay attention to stress, intonation, and emotional connotations of the lexemes used by your interlocutor. References:

An idiom is a phrase that is common in a language or culture that means something different from how it literally sounds. For example, 'The early bird gets the worm' means 'Being the first to do something usually means getting the best choice of outcomes. ' It is not actually about birds or worms. An idiom is a commonly used phrase in the language to convey some genuine ideas. These phrases are important to support the statement and express unique ideas. Moreover, it generates a deeper understanding of the language. That is why idioms and phrases are common concepts in different competitive exams.

The use of idioms has a great influence in the teaching and learning process of a foreign language, because it could be one of the ways to give students better conditions to improve communicative skill in the daily context. Because idioms add imagery, using them can make your writing more memorable. A sentence such as "She said it was time for him to have a taste of his own medicine" could be easier to remember because the reader can relate to the act of taking medicine or to the displeasure of a bad smell or taste.

Idioms and slang offer us an insight into language that goes beyond basic communication: they combine culture and history and create words that often work as a type of code or understanding for those that exist within a certain community. An idiom is a phrase whose meaning cannot be understood from the literal meanings of the words that make it up. Idioms are often used in everyday speech and writing to add color or emphasis. They can also be used to communicate a complex idea with just a few words.

An idiom is a phrase that, when taken as a whole, has a meaning you wouldn't be able to deduce from the meanings of the individual words. It's essentially the verbal equivalent of using the wrong math formula but still getting the correct answer. The phrase "kill two birds with one stone" is an example of an idiom.

Imagine your conversation is a dish. Facts and figures are the essential ingredients, but idioms are the spices that add flavor, color, and a unique aroma. They inject personality, paint vivid pictures, and connect you with your audience on a deeper level. But like any spice, overuse or misuse can be disastrous.

Idioms are phrases or expressions whose meaning goes beyond the literal interpretation of individual words. «Kick the bucket» doesn't involve actual footwear or pails, but signifies death. They are cultural shortcuts, conveying complex ideas with a touch of wit and imagery.

Clarity: They can express intricate concepts more concisely than literal language.

Connection: They create a sense of shared understanding and cultural connection.

Personality: They showcase your knowledge and confidence in the language.

1. Know your Audience: Don't use obscure idioms your listeners might not understand.

2. Accuracy is Key: Ensure you understand the exact meaning and usage of the idiom before incorporating it. Misusing idioms can backfire spectacularly.

3. Less is More: Don't bombard your audience with idioms. Use them sparingly and strategically for maximum impact.

4. Context is King: Make sure the idiom fits naturally within the flow of your conversation. Don't force it just to sound clever.

5. Cultural Sensitivity: Be mindful of idioms with offensive or insensitive connotations, especially in diverse settings.

6. Practice Makes Perfect: The more you read, listen, and converse, the more naturally idioms will weave into your speech.

Idioms are tools, not magic tricks. Use them thoughtfully to enhance your communication, not to impress. With practice and the right choices, you'll be speaking like a seasoned pro in no time! Explore idioms from different cultures! It's a fun way to learn new languages and gain insights into different ways of thinking.

ROLE OF TEACHER IN TEACHING LITERATURE Annotation

Teachers should make learning creative by trying different methods and must not let students feel bored in the classroom. Teachers must be able to prepare a well-organized class where the interaction between the literature, language and composition utilizes the best language learning methods for the students.

РОЛЬ УЧИТЕЛЯ В ПРЕПОДАВАНИИ ЛИТЕРАТУРЫ Аннотация

Учителя должны сделать обучение творческим, пробуя разные методы, и не позволять ученикам скучать в классе. Учителя должны быть в состоянии подготовить хорошо организованный класс, в котором при взаимодействии литературы, языка и композиции используются лучшие методы изучения языка для учащихся.

The teacher provides new or reviews old information with the children. The teacher will introduce new concepts to the children or review old information to help the children make a transition from the familiar concepts to the new concepts. Broadly speaking, the function of teachers is to help students learn by imparting knowledge to them and by setting up a situation in which students can and will learn effectively.

There are six approaches in the teaching of literature. They are the (1) Language-Based Approach, (2) Paraphrastic Approach, (3) Information-Based Approach, (4) Personal-Response Approach, (5) Moral-Philosophical Approach, and (6) Stylistic Approach.

Literature teachers provide instruction in the interpretation and analysis of literary works, such as novels,
