ABSTRACT

This paper contains information about modern platforms for distance learning: types, advantages and disadvantages. It has been emphasizing that due to Covid-19 it is imperative to develop the effectiveness of online classes. Therefore, the platforms for distance teaching have becoming more and more popular. This article deals with some types of modern platforms for distance teaching and their usage.

INTRODUCTION

As the president of Republic of Kazakhstan K.Tokayev mentioned distance learning platforms in one of his speeches: "We are well aware of the mistakes made by the government in organizing distance learning. In particular, there is still no specific single online platform for distance learning" [1]. Having appeared at the end of the XX century, distance learning by the beginning of the XXI century has become one of the most effective systems for training specialists in various fields of knowledge. In the last decade, computer and Internet technologies have become widespread and accessible to any user. They invade every sphere of activity, including pedagogical. Today, acquiring knowledge remotely using a computer and the World Wide Web is an inevitable stage in the development of the educational system [2].

At the present stage, such a term as "andragogy" has appeared, which is a theory

of lifelong education for adults. Universities of the so-called "third age", business

schools, corporate training systems force us to rethink the essence and significance of

education in general. The number of platforms, massive open online courses Google Scholar Scientific Library of Uzbekistan

(MOOCs), giving people from all over the world provides with the opportunity to study at a convenient time in a convenient place, improve their qualifications, is counted in dozens. The MOOC format is considered one of the most popular and promising trends in global education, as it provides everyone with access to quality education. The history of the emergence and development of such an amazing unique phenomenon as massive open online courses is described in the article "Mass online courses: a revolution in education?" [3]

MAIN BODY

Depending on their main purpose, all platforms for organizing distance learning can be roughly divided into:

> out-of-the-box services, when the software product is delivered in a completely finished version and only needs to be deployed at the appropriate institution;

> SaaS services are cloud technologies that allow you to deploy LMS on a remote service, and in this case, the organization does not provide technical support for the operation of the system;

> platforms for various webinars and conferences that provide only a certain range of tasks associated with the ability to exchange information in different ways.

In this regard, it is important to provide some examples of modern distance learning platforms for teaching.

Moodle (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) is a learning platform designed to provide educators, administrators and learners with a single robust, secure and integrated system to create personalised learning environments. You can download the software onto your own web server or ask one of our knowledgeable Moodle Partners to assist you.

There are some Moodle implementation stages:

> It is unlikely that it will be possible to implement Moodle immediately and entirely; we need a consistent change of certain stages, the gradual inclusion of DL in the educational process. The following roadmap can be recommended:

> Teaching the teaching staff to work skills in this LMS; a free course on udemy can help you in this regard.

> Testing implementation - practice shows that testing is the most understandable and accepted element of DO).

> Organization of independent work - you can post additional educational materials (read something, complete a joint or individual project).

> Implementation of DOT with all the features of differentiation, modularity,

etc.

According to the research related to the platform of "Moodle", some advantages were identified:

• Modern, easy to use interface;

• Personalised Dashboard;

• Collaborative tools and activities;

• All-in-one calendar;

• Convenient file management;

• Simple and intuitive text editor;

• Notifications;

• Track progress;

Thus, some drawback were mentioned during the research work:

The first big issue is the fact that Moodle is not fully developed to cope with big projects. While it may be useful for colleges or universities of small to medium size, the system might not work efficiently with larger schools or serve as a great way to conduct all classes in a city. Any platform for organizing distance learning has its pros and cons. Ease of use of the platform from the degree of its adaptation to your needs and the ability to use all the capabilities and functions of the system.

Google Classroom is an alternative to the school magazine, in which you can write down the names of students, their grades, and view their success. You can also create announcements here, add assignments that the student must complete in the classroom or at home Working with Google classroom platform it is considered to mention the pros and cons of it:

One of the main advantages of the platform is that the teacher can create an automatic schedule according to which the tasks that the teacher added to the program in advance will be published. The program also helps to view which tasks have already been completed by the student and which have not. What about cons is small number of tools that can be used for training. On the platform, you cannot mark the attendance of students in the lesson.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, it should be noted that any platform chosen for organizing distance learning will have its advantages and disadvantages. The ease of use of the platform depends on the degree of its adaptation to your needs and the ability to use all the existing capabilities and functions of the system.
