GREY IS IN THE CENTRE OF THE WORLD Аннотация
Every colour plays an important role in people's life. Life would be meaningless and dull without colours. And grey is everywhere. It is not only the colour of real things... It is also the colour of associations. It is perfect itself. It highlights any other colours being in the shadow. There are no extremes in it. It is in the centre of all colours in the world.

Colour enriches our world and influences us emotionally both subconsciously and consciously, as each colour has the associations and symbolic meaning for each of us.
Each colour can be the source of various information, a source of emotional experience, the source of semantic meaning.
We can see grey colour everywhere, but only few people name grey as their favourite colour.
Grey colour combines opposite qualities of black and white, and being neutral by its nature, has both positive and negative characteristics.
When we speak about grey colour we imagine gloomy grey panel houses and dark rain clouds immediately. We have a feeling of hopelessness and depression.
At the same time grey colour reminds of twilight when the day is declining waning and evening is approaching. On the contrary, it can remind of the morning smoke, of the moonlight and the fog and at that moment we have a feeling of calmness and serenity.
Grey is an ideal neutral tone of the nature. It is perfectly combined with other colours. Grey is a very quiet colour. It is modest and it is also noble. It keeps its distance and turns to a background instantly, allowing other colours to play the leading parts.
Grey colour is a colour of stones, rocks, shells, ancient monuments and temples. It is the colour of longevity. That's why modern cities "are dressed" in grey concrete and asphalt; in this dress they seem reliable and eternal...
In the nature nice fluffy animals and plants also "put on" in different shades of grey, looking fragile and innocent: sparrows, female quails, seagulls, pigeons, foxes, rabbits, kittens, ponies, weeping willows, birches, moss...
Grey colour is also a colour of mystery. It's the reason why clothes of the members of Free and Accepted Masons are of grey colour.
Grey colour is a colour of knowledge, wisdom and intelligence as the brain of the human being consists of grey matter, and the grey hair of the old is noted by wisdom. It is considered that the light grey clothes improve intellectual potentialities of the person at the examinations.
According to Max Luscher, absence of emotional experiences corresponds to the neutral grey. It (grey) does not calm and does not provoke. It creates a certain internal stability, being fenced off from external influence. The preference of grey on a 8-colour scale means isolation, reservedness or restraint. Lovers of grey colour would like to stand aside, to keep out of any action. Sometimes the choice of grey means the increasing of excitement; in this case it protects the person from overstrain.
If grey colour prevails in clothes, the person tries to find positive feelings giving inner harmony and rest. This colour gives force to the one who is weak and vulnerable. The clothes of grey shades give the chance to be free and steady nerves very well. As a rule, people put on clothes of such colour at a nervous exhaustion. If people

do not want other people to know something about them they are recommended to wear clothes of grey colour shades. Grey allows to protect people from all influences, exhaustions or stress.
The preference of light grey expresses freedom, easy excitability, readiness to contact to other people. Middle grey speaks about aspiration to stabilisation and keeping the order. Dark grey is the sign that the person needs peace of mind.
Middle grey possess reliability, beauty, subtlety, and conservatism. The darkest shades of grey give rise to dual feelings. On the one hand, they speak about the power, refinement, and austerity; on the other hand they speak about grief, depression and low spirits.
Grey colour does not shout about itself. It is modest, neutral and attracts little attention. But on the other hand, it is calm, formal, solemn and full of true worth. It is colour of riches, success and reliability. Men or women in a grey business suit inspire respect.
Even if grey colour is considered to be lonely as it is on the edge of black and white, there are no extremes in it. It is in the centre of all colours in the world. In spite of the fact that in the negative meaning grey colour has no future because it is old, sick, and unnecessary to anybody, in the positive meaning all the best for grey colour is in the future.

В статье рассматриваются определенные приемы активизации речевой деятельности студентов, обеспечивающие дальнейшее развитие и
совершенствование коммуникативно-речевых навыков.

Владение иностранным языком рассматривается как одна из основных задач профессиональной подготовки в современном вузе. К сожалению, опыт показывает наличие больших затруднений в свободном иноязычном общении у многих выпускников, что свидетельствует о необходимости усиления коммуникативного компонента языковой подготовки. Навыки говорения необходимо целенаправленно формировать. Для развития навыков говорения нужны особые задания и упражнения, которые должны носить систематический характер. При этом надо иметь в виду, что первичной основой речи является мотив, т.е. действительное намерение участвовать в общении. Появление такого мотива обеспечивает создание речевой ситуации.
