Ultrawideband 100 kHz-100kMHz ultrasonic detectors for multiscale
optoacoustic angiography

We report on the development of piezopolymer ultrasound detectors for optoacoustic (OA) angiography with unique characteristics:
• 0.1-100 MHz receiving frequency band;
• <10 Pa noise equivalent pressure;
• 180-degree angular coverage;
• up to ~1 mm2 apertures.
Using the developed detectors, we demonstrate the true potential of OA technology providing multiscale 30-500 ^m angiography of versatile biological objects at depths up to 7 mm.
