THE IMPACT OF AUTOMATION ON SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT OF AGRICULTURAL LANDS

Аннотация: this article examines the impact of automation on sustainable management of agricultural lands. Automation in agriculture enhances resource efficiency, reduces negative environmental impacts, and increases the sustainability of agricultural production. The use of modern technologies such as drones, precision farming systems, the Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI) optimizes monitoring and management processes of land resources. The authors analyze the economic and environmental benefits of automation, emphasizing the importance of integrating innovative solutions to improve yield and reduce costs. The article provides examples of successful automation implementation at the local level and discusses the prospects for further development and implementation of automated systems in agriculture.

Ключевые слова: land management, drones, yield improvement, automation.

Automation in agriculture enhances resource efficiency and reduces negative environmental impacts. The use of precision farming technologies such as soil moisture sensors and automated irrigation systems optimizes the use of water and fertilizers. This reduces the excessive application of chemicals and minimizes environmental pollution. Modern automated systems, including drones and satellite images, provide real-time monitoring of agricultural lands. This allows farmers to make timely decisions, improving plant health and preventing the spread of diseases. Robotic technologies accelerate harvesting and other agricultural tasks, reducing labor costs and increasing productivity. Automation also reduces the carbon footprint by using more environmentally friendly technologies such as electric tractors and

solar panels. Implementing these solutions helps improve the sustainability of agricultural systems and preserve biodiversity. However, the introduction of automation faces several challenges, such as high equipment costs and a lack of qualified specialists. To address these issues, government support, training programs, and the development of compatible technologies that can be gradually integrated into existing infrastructure are needed.

Problems and Solutions in the Automation of Agricultural Land Management Problem: High implementation costs

Description: Implementing automated systems requires significant initial investments in equipment, software, and personnel training. This can be particularly problematic for small farms with limited financial resources

Solutions: Develop government support programs and subsidies for farmers to reduce the financial burden of automation implementation. Attract private investors and create cooperatives for the joint use of automated systems. Use open platforms and open-source software to reduce costs.

Problem: Integration of new technologies with existing infrastructure

Description: Implementing new automated systems may require significant changes to existing infrastructure and farming processes, which can be complex and costly.

Solutions: Conduct preliminary audits and assess the farm's readiness for automation. Gradually implement automated systems, starting with pilot projects and gradually expanding their use. Develop modular and compatible solutions that easily integrate with existing systems and processes

Problem: Technical failures and cybersecurity

Description: Automated systems can be subject to technical failures and hacker attacks, which can lead to data loss and disruption of production processes.

Solutions: Implement cybersecurity measures such as regular software updates and antivirus programs. Train personnel in cybersecurity basics and incident response. Create data backups and develop recovery plans for failures.

Methods:

Drones and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs): Used for crop monitoring, plant disease detection, and fertilizer management.

Water Resource Management Systems: Automated systems for optimizing irrigation and water resource management.

GPS and Automatic Control Aggregates: Facilitate sowing, harvesting, and other agricultural tasks.

Materials:

Sensor Strips: Used to measure soil moisture levels and other parameters.

Satellite Images: Help monitor the state of the fields and make decisions.

Information Systems and Software: Systems for data analysis and management decision-making.

Conclusion: Automation significantly enhances the efficiency, sustainability, and productivity of agricultural land management through advanced technologies and optimized resource utilization.
