OPIOID PEPTIDES DEFEND FROM THE TRAUMATIC SHOCK
V.N. Tsygan, E.K. Akperov Military Medical Academy, St. Petersburg, Russia Enkephalines, endorphines and other opioid peptides are neurotransmitters and neuromodulators of sensibility on the all levels of pain formation and stress-limiting systems. During the combat conditions 52 patients have been studied after severe injuring, control group consisted of 15 servicemen. The content of ligands of P-endorphine and enkephaline receptors has been studied in the cerebrospinal fluid on the 1st-3rd day after the injury by radioimmune procedure. The servicemen’s chronical stress was accompanied by activation of endogenous opiod system. At the same time the opiod system activation led to the cardiovascular and respiratory activity disorders during the shock.
