Educational collaborations are instrumental in this entire process, as they open up lucrative opportunities for both the academic institutions and employers. The former gains access to current practical knowledge and technologies, while the latter gets the right to hire young professionals who can suitably answer the challenges of the industry. Internship programs, dual education, and corporate training initiatives have become essential tools for fostering career growth and professional development among young talent. The objective of this research is to examine the impact of educational partnerships and career development programs on attracting young professionals. The relevance of this topic is underscored by the growing demand for skilled personnel in business, as well as the necessity to strengthen ties between universities and employers to build a sustainable system for professional training. MAIN PART. APPROACHES TO EDUCATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS

BETWEEN UNIVERSITIES AND EMPLOYERS Against the background of rapid technological advances and the rising growth of digitalization, academic-employer partnerships have become one of the viable mechanisms for preparing competent professionals in accordance with the demands of the contemporary job market. The partnership between higher education and the business sector goes beyond the traditional approaches to education, turning into a strategic foundation for shaping the career paths of upcoming professionals [1].

Institutions of higher education have been essential in equipping the workforce through imparting central knowledge and competencies. Traditional educational curricula frequently struggle to keep pace with the changing requirements of the labor market. Collaboration with employers enables universities to adapt their curricula, incorporating disciplines and modules aimed at developing practical competencies. Both parties benefit from such partnerships, gaining valuable advantages in various areas of their interaction (table 1).

Table 1. The enablers, types, and benefits of collaboration between academics and industry practitioners [2]

Types Benefits Enablers

Collaborative research: exploring new ideas, grant Enhanced research impact: solving real-world problems, validation of Strong relationships: building trust before financial

Modern educational partnerships between universities and employers encompass a wide range of collaboration formats aimed at improving the quality of specialist training, fostering practical skills, and integrating innovative approaches into education. Among these formats, one of the most successful is the dual education system, which combines academic training at universities with practical work experience in companies. Within the framework of dual education, students split their time between academic institutions, where they focus on theoretical foundations, and industrial settings, where they gain valuable hands-on experience. The system provides students with a competitive edge in the labor market while enabling employers to prepare specialists tailored to their specific needs. Research conducted in 2021 also indicates that students in dual education programs, participating in real industrial environments and working on actual industrial projects, deliver significantly higher-quality and more in-depth results in their work [3]. In the context of the theoretical components of final exams, it has been observed that students who have mastered the practical application of theory during their multi-year internships perform better than those whose experience is limited to academic learning (fig. 1).

Internships and practical training also hold a significant place among the formats of educational partnerships. Companies offer students temporary positions to familiarize themselves with the professional environment and gain hands-on experience. Short-term summer internships, mandatory practical training as part of academic curricula, and long-term employment programs enable students to develop professional skills and understand corporate culture. For employers, these programs serve as an effective way to evaluate promising young talent and integrate them into long-term projects.

Cooperative programs (Co-Ops) represent a unique form of collaboration between educational institutions and employers, allowing students to alternate periods of academic study with paid professional work in their field of specialization. Unlike traditional internships, which often run concurrently with academic commitments, participants in cooperative programs typically engage in full-time work for a specified duration before returning to their academic studies. According to the 2023 report [4], the hiring of interns sharply increased to 22,6 % in 2022, marking the highest level during the observed period, while changes in the hiring of cooperative program participants were less pronounced (fig. 2).

Collaborative research projects represent another significant format of partnerships between universities and businesses. These initiatives bring together the efforts of academia and industry to address pressing business challenges and develop new technologies and products. Companies provide problems to solve, funding, and resources, while universities engage faculty members and students to execute the projects. Such collaborations are often carried out in laboratories and research centers, fostering the integration of education, science, and practical applications.

Large companies also design corporate educational programs that are integrated into university curricula. Corporate educational platforms further provide students with access to learning materials, workshops, and certification programs, enhancing their professional development. These initiatives help students adapt to industry requirements and bridge the gap between academic education and the real needs of the labor market.

Project-based learning and hackathons are gaining increasing popularity as formats of educational partnerships. In project-based learning, students work in teams to solve specific problems posed by businesses, and their work is judged by industry experts. Hackathons are intensive, competitive events in which solution prototypes are developed within a tightly constrained time frame.

The advancement of digital technologies has given rise to an innovative format, virtual internships. This approach allows students to work on projects remotely, utilizing modern online tools [5]. Virtual internships provide collaboration with companies from different regions or countries, expanding the geographical scope of interaction and making education more accessible. This format offers a way to attract talent regardless of location, while for students, it provides a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience and build careers in an international setting.

Modern formats of educational partnerships demonstrate significant potential for preparing highly skilled professionals and addressing critical business challenges. Their successful integration strengthens ties between universities and employers, fosters a sustainable professional environment, and drives the creation of innovative solutions.

THE EFFECTIVENESS OF CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS FOR

YOUNG PROFESSIONALS

Career development programs have become an essential tool for fostering the growth of young professionals and building the human capital of companies. In today's economic landscape, marked by digitalization and evolving employment practices, employers must create conditions to attract young talent and guarantee their professional and personal development. These programs increase employee loyalty, expedite their adaptation to organizational processes, and drive high levels of performance.

Career growth is one of the key factors influencing young professionals' choice of workplace. In the modern context, young employees prioritize opportunities for professional development, acquiring new skills, and achieving personal fulfillment. Researches indicate that the presence of clearly defined career tracks within a company increases its attractiveness as an employer by providing employees with confidence in long-term collaboration prospects and opportunities for personal growth [6].

Career development programs play a major role in increasing employee motivation. These schemes bring about a feeling of ownership in the minds of employees and cultivate long term loyalty to the company. Companies are also able to

minimize employee turnover and save money that could be spent on attracting and training fresh employees. Modern firms implement different career development scheme designs to fit the career demands of emerging professionals and enhance their profile within the firm.

The organizations develop training programs that focus on developing both technical and interpersonal skills. Those programs include specialized courses, workshops, and training sessions with regard to leadership, project management, and the use of digital tools. All this is an opportunity to acquire new knowledge and put one's abilities into practice through participation in projects vital for the success of the organization. Some companies implement rotation programs, which allow young specialists to work in various departments within the organization.

Leading international companies are at the forefront of developing career growth programs. Corporations like Google, IBM, and Microsoft are renowned for their initiatives aimed at fostering both technical and leadership skills. Procter & Gamble implements the FPG Trainee Program, designed to accelerate the development of young leaders [7]. Participants undergo training in various countries, work on strategically significant projects, and receive mentorship from top-level management within the company.

Deloitte offers the comprehensive Global Graduate Program for young professionals, which includes rotations across different departments, work on international projects, and specialized courses focusing on both professional and personal development [8]. The program emphasizes building management, analytical, and leadership skills while providing access to mentorship and feedback from senior colleagues.

Career development programs are a powerful tool for unlocking the potential of young professionals while enabling companies to establish a sustainable talent development system. These initiatives contribute to employees' professional growth and the cultivation of a corporate culture centered on innovation and continuous improvement.

CONCLUSION

Modern approaches to educational partnerships between universities and employers, as well as career development programs for young professionals, play a vital role in shaping a sustainable labor market and enhancing the competitiveness of companies. Collaboration between academia and industry enables the preparation of skilled professionals capable of addressing pressing challenges in a rapidly changing world. Joint educational programs, internships, and research projects help students acquire practical skills, while employers gain access to young talent ready to tackle professional demands.

Career development programs aimed at nurturing young professionals ensure their growth, strengthen their loyalty to the organization, and boost their motivation. These initiatives contribute to employee development and the cultivation of a corporate culture focused on long-term collaboration and innovation. In an environment of intense competition for talent, effective partnerships between universities and employers, along with strategically designed career programs, form the foundation for the sustainable development of organizations and society as a whole.
