In this article the authors explained how the language learning procedure is difficult due to its some peculiar features. Their investigation is based on phonological system of English. They are sure that English has spoken in different parts of the world, so this fact makes the language difficult. Because, every country using the language implements something new into it. They also claim that English phonology is difficult since the pronunciation and spelling is inconsistent.

stimulate a natural process of acquiring experience and gaining insights into the underlying conceptual metaphors in English phrasal verbs [1].

Regarding the four language skills, this study only concluded that students' skills of guessing meaning in context can be improved with the application of conceptual metaphor. Therefore, research on conceptual metaphor in productive skills should be of more concern to see whether it can help integrate phrasal verbs into students' active vocabulary domain.

To a greater extension, for future research, similar studies of other particles would provide a much better understanding of English prepositions in order to extend those findings to the far more complex uses of prepositions and phrasal verbs in everyday communication. Some areas that do seem worthy of further investigation are prepositions, idioms, and collocations.

They also claim that English phonology is difficult since the pronunciation and spelling is inconsistent.

English is among the most widely used languages in the world. It is the preferred mode of communication in international travel and global business. However, there are particular nuances in English that may make it difficult to learn for foreigners. These difficulties lay in the fundamental unique characteristics English has against other languages.

Pronunciation is particular in English, as there are no set rules for pronouncing a specific letter. For example, vowels can differ given the slightest change of context. In the sentence, "A farmer's job is to produce, produce" the "o" in the first "produce" is a short vowel while

the second "o" is a long vowel. The student has to know common sentence structure and both noun and verb definitions of the word "produce" accurately read the sentence [1].

There are particular consonant combinations unique to the English language. Friction words, for example, require different parts of the mouth to touch to make a specific sound.

Most words with the letter "th" fall under this category. The "th" sound needs the tongue and teeth to touch. These sounds are unnatural in other languages and may be easily mispronounced. English has numerous rules and exceptions for verb tense form. For example, the root word "sing" has different forms in past tense "sang" and past perfect "sung" Some words do not change at all. For example, the root word "read" is written the same way regardless if it is past or present tense but is pronounced differently.

Some languages do not distinguish between genders at all. For example, Mandarin, Chinese only uses one term for "he" and "she" with the distinction being completely based on the context. Other languages, such as German, have three genders: masculine, feminine and neuter. Moreover, gender culture is also deeply infused in certain English slang terms. The statement, "You throw like a girl" would not make sense for foreigners who have different or no particular views on women.

When learning English in a particular region, the natural tendency is to pick up that region's accent. These accents have their own pronunciation styles and slang associated with them. For example, the New York accent is widely recognized in mainstream media. Even though the words and grammar stay relatively the same, there is a distinct style of pronunciation of certain vowels, such as "a" and "o". While it is not necessary to learn all the accents, it may be difficult to distinguish the same words from one accent to the other.

Different areas phonology that make learning English difficult the sounds of spoken English includes the pronunciation of both individual letters and combined letters.

What are different areas of phonology that makes the English language hard to learn?

The English language contains a variety of sounds that may not be found in other languages, making it very difficult to learn. For example, the sound "th" cannot be found in other romance languages, making it difficult to pronounce for non-English speakers. In addition, the abundance of consonant combinations, in combinations such as "rt" or "pt" give speakers of Chinese or Korean particular difficultly, as a result of the fact that their language does not contain these consonant pairings.

Loanwords, or words from another language that have been integrated into English, contain confusing spellings, pronunciations and meanings. The interaction of individuals and cultures creates these loanwords. For example, "milieu", "status quo" and "Zeitgeist" are all examples of foreign words that have become a part of the modern English language.

The fact that different forms of the English language are spoken in different areas of the world makes learning English phonology particularly difficult. British and European pronunciations may be vastly different from American ones and forms of English in New Zealand or Australia may be unlike either of these two. In addition to differences in pronunciation, spelling inconsistencies across continents may pose issues for English speakers. For example, "colof' in American may be spelled "colouf' in the United Kingdom. These all offer a phonological obstacle for those who want to master the language [2].

Two final things that make English phonology difficult are inconsistent spellings and pronunciations. Spelling, which acts as a key for pronunciation, has numerous inconsistencies in the lan ua e. For example, "passion", "fashion", and "station" have the same pronunciation in their final syllable, but they have three different spellings. This causes difficulty for those who are pronouncing written words. Differences in pronunciation also pose problems, with words such as "mature". Some would pronounce the word "mah-choof' while others would say "mah-toor". Punctuation and spelling are two obstacles for those who wish to learn English. English usage can also be formal and informal. Formal English is the language of the mass media, education, business, economy, commerce, technology, science, etc. Informal English includes colloquial, slang and dialect usage. It is harder for foreign learners to master informal than formal English vocabulary.

In conclusion, I believe vocabulary is the most comprehensive and most difficult aspect of English for foreign learners to master thoroughly. They should concentrate first on learning the most frequently used and therefore most important English vocabulary for their practical real life needs. Multiple sense English words and synonyms (words with a similar meaning) present special difficulty for foreign learners. Other difficulties with learning and using English vocabulary include fixed word collocations, phrasal verbs, idioms, proverbs and regional differences in vocabulary usage. There are varieties in English usage in English-speaking countries in terms of spelling, pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar. There are specialized books dealing with British and American English differences. Thematic general English dictionaries combined with English synonym dictionaries are a valuable tool for mastering English vocabulary logically, comprehensively and intensively for real life needs of learners. Extensive reading on a variety of topics is another effective method for expanding English vocabulary knowledge by learners of English.
