Abstract: the conducted research indicates the accelerated development of the construction offacilities in the chemical industry of Turkmenistan. Much attention is paid to low-carbon technological processes with a minimum level of carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere, that is, the formation of production facilities for the production of "blue ammonia". Promising areas for further development of the chemical industry include projects for the construction of hydrogen production complexes.
Keywords: chemical enterprises, raw materials base, environmental safety.
One of the priorities of the chemical industry of Turkmenistan is the full and effective use of national natural resources. The solution of this strategic task implies not only their extraction, but also deep processing using the most modern technologies that allow us to produce high-quality products that are widely in demand both in the domestic and foreign markets. Special attention of industry specialists is focused on the growth of production of mineral fertilizers [1]. The country's resource capabilities make it possible to produce all types of mineral fertilizers in volumes that meet the domestic needs of the country, as well as to increase export potential. Currently, ammonia-carbamide complexes are successfully operated in the cities of Tejen and Mary.
The presence of large reserves of natural gas in Turkmenistan makes it promising to build additional capacities for the production of nitrogen fertilizers, in particular, carbamide. Turkmenistan occupies one of the leading places in the world in terms of reserves of hydromineral raw materials, and in particular iodine and its derivatives. There are five deposits of iodine-bromine waters with already approved reserves on the territory of the state, as well as their numerous manifestations, the reserves of which have yet to be approved. In accordance with the program for the development of the chemical industry, the State Concern Turkmenhimiya intends to begin construction of new plants for the production of iodine, bromine and their derivatives in the Balkan province in the near future [2]. Another enterprise of the concern, the Guvlyduz combine on the shore of the Caspian Sea, where iodized food salt and technical salt are produced for industrial enterprises of the country, is implementing a project to build a new workshop for the production of high-quality food iodized salt and technical tableted salt.
Garabogazgol , the largest deposit of sodium sulfate and other minerals on the globe, plays an important role in the development of the mineral resource base. In particular, the gulf is an inexhaustible source of raw materials for the production of a number of magnesium, sodium salts, bromine, boron and lithium compounds. Here, under normal natural conditions, these salts crystallize on an industrial scale. Currently, the Garabogaz Sulfate production association produces sodium sulfate and magnesium chloride.
In addition, Turkmenistan pays great attention to low-carbon technological processes with a minimum level of carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere. In particular, we are talking about the production of so-called blue ammonia - the technology provides for almost complete capture of carbon dioxide released in the production process. Another promising direction for the development of the chemical industry is the production of hydrogen. The topic is very relevant today - many countries are gradually abandoning fossil fuels, and environmentally friendly energy sources should replace them [3].
A promising direction for the development of the industry - production of household chemicals, organic polymers such as polypropylene, polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, as well as urea-formaldehyde, melamine-formaldehyde resins and various paints, adhesives, building, structural and other materials based on them. The implementation of these projects will significantly strengthen the country's economic potential and expand its export opportunities.
